Teaser Poster for THE THING.
This is actually a prequel to John Carpenter’s The Thing (read more about it here), and while I’m usually pretty anti-remakes and reimaginings and prequels and whatnot, this one looks to have potential. John Carpenter’s The Thing is my favorite horror movie of all time and sits somewhere in my top five movies of all time, so my expectations are high.
This poster is a good start in getting the marketing machine behind this one rolling. It’s subtle, it’s atmospheric and it gets the point across. I want this film to do well because, well, I always want good, R-rated horror to do well. Because if it does, then hey, we might just get more of it. And maybe In The Mountains of Madness will finally get made after all.
